Dr. Galena Rhoades received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Denver in 2007 and is a Licensed Psychologist in Colorado. In her practice, she primarily sees adults and couples. Her therapy style is flexible, friendly, and solution-focused. She draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy and other empirically-supported treatment approaches.
In addition, Dr. Rhoades is a Research Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Denver and the owner and principal evaluator at Washington Park Research and Evaluation. Dr. Rhoades has specific training and expertise in evaluation, research design, and statistical analysis. Her research program focuses on romantic relationship formation processes as well as studies of the effectiveness of relationship education programs for youth and adults. She has over 100 publications in these areas. She is currently PI, Co-I, statistician, or evaluator on several federal and foundation grants, including several evaluating the effectiveness of couple interventions and teen pregnancy prevention programs.
