Charlie received an M.A. in clinical psychology from the University of Denver and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate who treats couples and adults.
Charlie’s clinical training has focused on providing evidence-based therapies, such as those grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy, to couples, adults, and adolescents. He also incorporates elements of emotionally focused therapy into his work. Charlie has been closely trained as a clinician (and researcher) by couple therapy experts such as Dr. Rhoades and Dr. Howard Markman. He has a specific interest in working with couples and adults for whom issues of sexuality may be affecting their wellbeing or their relationships. He seeks to make therapy a space where clients can be both validated in their identities and experiences and safely challenged to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.
Charlie is also completing a Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Denver, under the mentorship of Dr. Rhoades and Dr. Perry, where he conducts research on romantic relationships, sexual health, and interventions that improve relationship functioning.
